process. Of course, spreading winemaking culture to wherever they explored or conquered. And then we even have the in the middle ages. The medieval monks cultivating the vineyards of burgundy and champagne. So it's got a long rich and varied history. >> That is fascinating. So humans have been drinking wine for. >> Very, very, very, very, very long time. When did national windy start? >> Well, yes, you think someone might have come up with this earlier, although, as you said at the top, do we really need a 2009, it all toast to that. But then again, altus to just about anything. So with wind pic that I have for you today, kim, I'd also like to share something unique about wine that we can celebrate. >> Okay, so what are your why is that you're recommending this weekend? Then? Well, let's start with the quails gate chardonnay from the okanagan valley in bc. It has these beautiful aromas of like golden apple. >> And freshly baked bread, they started with the perfect with I think a rotisserie are checking in or even based dollops garlic butter. This relates to my first point about why we celebrate line. It's long been we're closely associated to food pairing that has say hard liquor because wind has lower alcohol will clobber the food flavours. But even compared to tear, it has a wider aroma or range of a religion. Flavours. What about red wines? Well, I have this bako new or old vines, foch or from henry of pelham in niagara. And it's one of the leading or I think it is the leading producer of buckling or in the country. It's deep and brooding with layers of fleshy ripe fruit and you know, it be great with the slow roasted leg of lamb or other hearty meat dishes. Why the reason number 2, it's the drink of conversation. There's a reason why we port these big wine glasses, not sort of shooter >> I love that about it. Yeah. My apologies. I think I was skipping just go through all the suggestions natalie. >> Absolutely, here we go with bread and butter. It's a beautiful rose, especially for this time of the year. It's got these aromas, freshfields strawberries and summer sunshine in a bottle. Rose is always enjoyed best young and I do mean the wind that the person moves. Yeah, it's, it's great. As we call go out into our patios. This this time of year. Reason number 3 to celebrate line. It reminds us how fleeting life is so unlike a painting that can last for 1000 years, wine is consumed and when it's gone, it's gone. All we have are the cup a car, carpet, this >> Haha is at all for the suggestions you have one more there. Yea, I do have one more another. We're going back to bc with hester creek, gsm and gsm stands for gran osh. Surat moved edra those of the grapes and the bland. >> They make it more complex. Rich and concentrated with these flushing right dark berry and plum flavours. This one age well in your cellar for up to 5 years, but you can't wait to can to an hour or 2. The last reason relates to the rituals of why, such as passing it to kanter clockwise around the table to symbolize the passing of time and how it ties us together. So it's not just those present at the table. Those who sat here before us and those who will sit here >> Oh, that's wonderful. Natalie. I feel like you and I would have a blast at a wine tasting together. So let's maybe flag that the future. Natalie. Thank you so much to learn more about her course, you can visit natalie maclean dot com. >> Right now you're taking a live look through the river valley skycam driven by capital gmc buick 34th avenue edmonton. 8 degrees as we look at downtown, we're seeing a lot of sir nice reflections off of the downtown building. So a bright start to the day today. Temperature wise certain see a bit more of a jump red deer now at 5, they started off at the freezing mark this morning. High-level peace river, a low digits this morning. Now at 7 and nine's. We're seeing our temperatures jump up that we are at 8 today. 16, possibly 17. As we take a look at the satellite radar, a little bit of cloud towards lac la biche. Same paul peace river, high prairie, partly cloudy for us, partly cloudy as well. The cloud has been breaking up. We'll see a mix of sun and cloud as we go throughout the day today. And then as we head throughout the evening, fairly clear. So it's going to be nice, sunny, throughout much of the day. Our high 16 possibly 17 wind light. A fantastic friday forecast. We'll talk weekend forecast coming next time with your 5 day forecast. Cut. Okay, cory, thank you. Need a team willing to give an inch. We'll pick things up early in the second period. Leon draisaitl does. >> The oilers, the lead extending his point streak in shortly after that. It's 2 nothing after zach hyman's playoff leading 12th goal, dallas would respond before the period is out. It's tyler sagan who shovels home one of the blue paint after jamie benn await stuart skinner, then dallas pressing for the equalizer in the 3rd. It is sagan again pouncing on the loose puck at the side of the net. Right? They're sending this to overtime. To begin overtime. Captain connor mcdavid takes a high sticking double minor. So he goes off to the box for 4 minutes because of this play. Now it was reviewed after the referees on the ice didn't see it, but the linesman did off to the box. Egos not happy about it. He did serve the penalty, the oilers would kill it off one of 5 on the night. Then after he gets out of the box, its mcdavid all alone in front. But jake oettinger with the desperation save. I can't believe mcdavid didn't put that, that one home. But the big in the second overtime, much different.
