CFL teams to honour Humboldt Broncos in Week 3
The first two weeks of the CFL season are in the books, and while there has been lots of Johnny Manziel talk and highlight reel plays, the league will take the opportunity to do something more significant in Week 3.
Saturday: We’re all #HumboldtStrong.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be hosting their official Humboldt Strong game on Saturday in support of the hockey team and community affected by the April bus crash that claimed the lives of 16 and injured 13 others. With Mosaic Stadium, the home of the Roughriders being roughly two hours away from Humboldt, there should be quite a few people from the community in attendance for the tilt against the Montreal Alouettes.
The Roughriders won’t be the only team commemorating the Broncos, however. All eight teams will have a Humboldt Strong decal on the back of their helmets this week. The league’s third week will start Thursday night as the Calgary Stampeders host the Ottawa Redblacks.
