(Upbeat instrumental music) a new episode of station 19 tonight 10, 8 mountain on ctv >> Ctv skywatch camera looking out to the south in that shot some cloud cover, some isolated scattered showers across the lethbridge region up. Boy, does it smell nice when you go out in the morning. The trees are happy, the long as happy a little bit of shower activity. It's been a it's been a good run. We're starting to get some more though, and they're going to get quite a bit more. They're already seeing some active weather where we have the severe thunderstorm. >> Watch is in place, but we've seen thunderstorms this afternoon in pincher creek cranbrook and into the sparwood area. So we are seeing that instability still rotating mostly through southern alberta. Now areas north of edmonton saw quite a bit more sunshine than cloud cover, but there were some isolated pockets of shower activity up there. Fort mcmurray didn't see any but south of high-level got a little bit of shower activity this afternoon. So it's fairly hit or miss and widely scattered through bc. We are seeing the sun and cloud mix in parts of the interior. But the southernmost regions of the interior bc saw some isolated showers today as well as the southern coastal areas. Abc and the northern coastal areas also saw some showers. We are seeing some sun and cloud mix in the mix as well. So it's been very hit or miss across western canada as these low pressure centres continue to churn and they're already starting to peter out, but they just have enough punch left in them to create that instability that we're seeing in that severe thunderstorm watch area. We do have a chance to most of our viewing areas tonight of seeing some fog seeing some isolated showers and also seeing a potential for some brief thunder shower activity through our viewing areas as well. So just be aware of that little bit of active weather. Manitoba. We're going to talk about that in a minute. They're coming kind of a double whammy. Eastern canada right now. Remember yesterday we were talking about the thunderstorm watches and warnings are out for southern ontario, southern quebec. That's moved into the maritimes. Not only do they have severe thunderstorm watches in place and warnings, but they also have a tornado warning in the fredericton area. So some very serious potential, whether they're cooler on the coast. We've got 4 degrees in st. John's right now. They're expecting to see some showers starting to develop overnight and kind of hang in off and on through the weekend. Weve got 16 degrees in our 15, rather in winnipeg right now. They are looking at some heavy rainfall developing overnight tonight because of a low pressure centre that's moving up from the dakotas. And then through the central and northern areas, seeing some rain, freezing drizzle. And once again, they're getting pockets of snow showers in the extreme northern sections right around churchill. >> And then as I said for saskatchewan, alberta, we're seeing those isolated pockets of shower activity mixing in with some sun and as well. And then right along the continental divide. Of course, we're seeing those spotty showers through the central and southern regions. But really that active weather is right in the southern areas through pincher creek. As I said, sparwood and looking at cranbrook seeing thunder showers this afternoon. East kootenay overnight tonight, little unstable, still 5 degrees for a low 17 for a high tomorrow, you'll have mainly cloudy skies and there still is another chance for an afternoon shower tomorrow. Protest pah showers tonight with a chance of a thundershower. You possibly could see some fog tonight as well. One for a low 15 for a daytime high tomorrow, little breezy, the sun and cloud mix with a chance of an afternoon shower medicine hat looking at partly cloudy skies with some scattered showers expected tonight and a chance of a thundershower. Like most of the, our viewing region is 4 degrees for low. 18 for high tomorrow, sun and cloud mix with about a 30% chance of a shower. And tonight we could see a thunder shower showerhead, possibly fog and frost. So there's a lot going on to furlough tonight and then tomorrow we've got a daytime high of 18 degrees. We'll get down to 5 temperatures will start to move up the scale

specially as jack and I were talking about next week.
