It was just a month ago, the city was saying calgarians could see water restrictions as early as may. >> With all this rain, that's no longer the case with the city notes it is still early on in the season. Moderate to extreme drought conditions are predicted for southern alberta. And while precipitation is helping tone down those levels right now, more moisture will still be need to get the province through the summer. Environment canada says these may showers may improve the situation by a category o louis up to normally dry. But we're still looking at significant potential for drought. As of right now, the rain is creating high soil moisture. That's good news for dryland farmers, river water use for cities in irrigation is approved as well since the mountains have also been getting precipitation too. That's taking concerningly low snowpack levels up to about average. So overall, we're not nearly out of the woods yet, but moisture levels are trending in the right direction. >> We've seen measurable precipitation 16 of those 22 days so far this month, which is astounding, really when you consider how to why it was earlier in the year. Investigators say the victim was likely impaired fell and was lying on the pavement.
