CF: Milan pay their Board of Directors more than any Serie A club – the figures
AC Milan’s ownership has been heavily criticised in recent months due to the lack of sporting success. Despite paying their Board of Directors members more than any other Serie A club, as a report highlights, there are many issues to solve.
Indeed, it has been far from easy for Gerry Cardinale and RedBird above all in the last few weeks, with fans making their voices heard. Financially speaking, Milan are in a great place but on the pitch, they are in desperate need of a leap in quality.
As highlighted by Calcio e Finanza, the financial success is the result of having the right people at the right place, even if it has come at a cost. In fact, in the last five years, Milan have paid their Board of Directors members more than any other Serie A club at a total of €19.2m.
In 2023-24, that figure was €4.3m, though it should be noted that Atalanta aren’t too far behind. We should also clarify that these aren’t the costs for the directors such as Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio, but rather the compensation for the board members which are the following:
Paolo Scaroni (Chairman)
Giorgio Furlani
Stefano Cocirio
Gerry Cardinale
Randy Levine
Robert Klein
Kevin LaForce
Gordon Singer
Mark Dowley
Riccardo Stefanelli
Alfredo Craca
Of course, the likes of Giorgio Furlani (CEO) and Stefano Cocirio (CFO) also hold other titles in the club.
