The Japanese winger returns to Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI after shaking off a knock and replaces Nicolas Kuhn, who drops to the bench.

James McCarthy is the only fitness absentee for the hosts, having suffered an injury-plagued few seasons.

Rangers, meanwhile, are dealing with defensive injury issues ahead of a must-win Scottish Premiership title clash in Glasgow.

Connor Goldson is out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury suffered in training last week, with Leon Balogun also now sidelined after being forced off against Kilmarnock last weekend with a muscle issue.

Ex-Liverpool man Ben Davies partners John Souttar in central defence for Philippe Clement in his first start since December, while Tom Lawrence is preferred to Todd Cantwell in attack.

Abdallah Sima, Danilo Pereira, Oscar Cortes and Ryan Jack all miss out for Rangers, who are also without Rabbi Matondo, whose last-gasp equaliser secured a thrilling 3-3 draw with Celtic at Ibrox last month.

Celtic currently lead the way at the Scottish Premiership summit by three points and a superior goal difference with just three games left to play this term.
