It was a nice addition, especially when covid-19 restrictions were in place and while many people still use it for that purpose, things have changed. As dayne patterson reports, the video has become a way to police safety and game play. >> Reporter: even in an minister arena there's always someone, or something, watching. The privacy commissioner says that it could be, but it's unclear if it's a breach. Mcclintock says that because it's in a public place he doesn't see it as a privacy issue. And more than 30 cm of rain caused flash flooding in nebraska as the storm system is moving south and east and threatening a swath of the west from texas to new york. ( )

This will push up into manitoba as we get into the later part of thursday and into friday. And I mentioned some of this punishing weather moving through parts of southern ontario and into the capital region now. This particular system here prompting tornado warnings through the late afternoon in areas north of toronto. So pretty unstable air mass moving through as we head into the early evening hours across parts of ontario and into québec. And here we're in this pocket of clearing in southern manitoba. And rain/snow into northwestern ontario. 18° in both brandon and melita this afternoon. 16° is what we got to in winnipeg. Cooler on the water along the lake winnipeg region through gimli and pinawa and victoria beach and up to tennessee° 10° in thompson. Clearing through the evening tonight and so partly cloudy skies overnight for most of us in southern manitoba. And down to 2s in winnipeg and lac debonnie and 3s and 4s with a clearing sky through the evening. Flurries through the northeastern part of manitoba, and -3s for churchill and gillam. Mainly cloudy conditions through northern manitoba tomorrow. Upon°7° by lunchtime in flin flon and the pas. And sunshine in the later afternoon, and berens river and grand rapid getting a glimpse of sunshine by the time that we hit the 4:00 hour. And showers through southwestern manitoba. Oh, yeah. Passion for beauty, from high school. Yeah, it's more than that now. Because in those days I couldn't do much like this, like varieties of different kinds of hair but now I can do more. Oh, wow. >> I guess that the name means -- [multiple voices] I am ms. Lola. >> I am chief. >> We are here at lola's beauty gallery. The home of hair extensions. >> You have this in red? >> It's a store that supplies everything of beauty for the community. There was nothing like this in manitoba before until we started. We brought the hair extensions to manitoba many years ago. ( ) it started in 1989 in a small basement. And we had to travel through different places in the U.S. to bring the products for hair extensions and to do trainings over there and we brought it to winnipeg. And we taught many hairdressers. When I was in high school I used to do my hair. Like, in nigeria they call the different styles of a wig and I'd be doing their hair. So I loved it. >> According to our culture, and from our grandparents, they braided their hair. So now the culture is all over the world now and not just the black community. >> Reporter: why are stories like this important for the community? >> It's important because for us as africans, we are beautiful and we like glamour. I remember when I came and I had to buy three, four shades of different kinds of products. It does have a toll on your psyche, because it's almost like why these stores have different shades for us? Do they not want us here? Hi, linda. Welcome. Thank you. >> I originally came to find this place through my father. And he has since passed. So every time that I come here it's kind of like coming home. It's a staple in the community, yeah.
