>>> In a gorgeous day outside today and not as sticky as it was the last couple of days. First look at the forecast. How is it looking? >> Vikta: another beautiful day in toronto today in the high-pressure system is a big contributing factor as to why there's not much of the sun and that's going to translate it tonight if you do look at the sky you will see the stars and I'm a big fan of stargazing and gives us a chance to get a nice peek at all the stars above. Amount tomorrow will be another day where we have a high uv index and you want to make sure you're putting on the sunscreen in the hat and you'll be hydrated as well with the hot temperatures very easy to forget and very easy the damage that can duty you. When it comes to the weekend as well we come with precipitation but that precipitation on saturday close to 12, 3:00. Not going to last too long. Average temperature 21-point date is the average high and 10.7 is the average low and I'm talking with the high-pressure system that you can see right now what your friday will look like. No cloud cover or precipitation and a beautiful way to get in toward the weekend. When it comes to saturday around 6:00 in the morning high-pressure system with a beautiful day but if you look over here over by colorado and around the midwest of the U.S. this is a system working its way coming toward us over here and by the time it saturday. You can see it's over manitoba so it's a pretty big system but by the time he gets toward the greater toronto area from midday on saturday it's going to come pretty small and not be as big as you do see here around 3:00 it should be all set and done toward 6:00 and a nice cool night with cooler temperatures after the rain passed is by. Now quick look at what we are expecting for the overnight temperatures should be the midteens and if you're a big fan of 6:00 am teatime and want to get out early and beat the heat it'll be around 14 degrees in toronto, 17 in ottawa if you want to hit those teas. And at a thing looking for to the 3 and 5 day forecast 26 will be the high for friday as you do see it's going to get hot really quickly and the low is 13. Expecting rain on saturday and monday and tuesday bringing precipitation as well but a beautiful sunny friday and over to you. >> Kelda: thank you so much.

This study examined water samples collected from the english river upstream from grassy narrows. Researchers found lots of pollutants were added to the water system meeting double to triple the contamination. >> Every minute there is additional discharge of the organic matter to this river more metal mercury is being formed. >> Reporter: metal mercury is more toxic than mercury, this university of western ontario researchers says it's being created by a mix of sulphate and organic matter plus mercury already in the river. Back in the 1960s and seventies it's estimated the paper mill dumps 9 tons of mercury into the water. The researchers says his evidence as nick kate it is not mercury flowing into the water now but the pollutants are again coming from the mail.

>> There are no other industrial sources and sulphate coming from anywhere else. This is the source. >> Reporter: the company that owns the dryden paper mill says it only recently required the mill from another company and says it couldn't comment as we have not seen nor have been briefed ONZ(8n7sn the report. >> We want action and we want something to be done. This has to stop. The polluting has to stop. So either shut the mill down or get your act together and find solutions. >> Reporter: the chief of the grassy narrows first nations says he is one of the people that dealt with the effects of mercury poisoning. For him he says it's been a lack of coordination and shaking. According to data 90 percent of people living there have symptoms. People of protested, demanding changes for years. >> We been asking for a river cleanup and now is the time, especially with this report that they should take of cleaning up the river. >> Reporter: a statement from the federal government focuses on the millions of dollars it's spending on a mercury care home on grassy narrows. Construction is set to begin in july and take two to three years the ontario government says it is committed to remediate the mercury contamination and it says it has experts now going through this latest report and it'll be meeting with the researcher and also indigenous communities next week. Cbc news toronto. >> Kelda: a new government bill tabled in the house of commons today would allow canadians to pass a sedition trip writes down -- down to their children born outside the country. It's a move that would reverse the decision by the federal conservatives under stephen harper. >> Reporter: she works for the citizenship and immigration department for years. But she is not born here. That has consequences for her two boys. >> There's only one passage of canadian citizenship. So my boys could not receive citizenship, lb at they are status first nations. >> Reporter: due to a change in immigration law brought under former prime minister stephen harper meant a crackdown on so-called canadians of convenience facing pressure after ottawa paid $85 million to extract canadian citizens from lebanon in 2006 during the war between israel and hezbollah. >> This isn't again a free-for-all, this is truly about a technical fix to a bill that should have been done a while ago. >> Reporter: instead it's a long time coming. The liberal government thought a legal battle against reversing the move. Only getting a court order last december to end the cut off. >> We want citizenship to be fair, accessible with clear and transparent rules. Not everyone is entitled to its but for those who are, it needs to be fair. >> Reporter: marc miller is proposing the foreign-born children of canadian parents who have sent three cumulative years in this country would become canadian citizens. Is legislation has the ndp's backing. >> I have talked to family members where their children are being lost in the system because of this unjust, punitive, on constitutional law. >> Reporter: it's not clear how the conservatives will react. They say they are still studying the liberals proposal. Also unclear how many people would be impacted by the measure the immigration minister suggesting there could be thousands. Cbc news ottawa. >> Kelda: the U.S. justice department has launched an antitrust lawsuit against ticketmaster, accusing it and parent company live nation of establishing an illegal monopoly in the music concert business. >> Our complaint makes clear what happens when a monopolist dedicates its resources to entrenching its monopoly power and insulating itself from competition rather than investing in better products and services. >> Kelda: the U.S. attorney general says it has led to higher cost for fans, fewer opportunities for artists in the end of business for small promoters. Live nation called the allegation baseless, a ticketmaster owned or controlled more than 265 concert venues in north america.
