Casadei prefers Lazio to Torino after Chelsea experience
Lazio have made a formal offer worth €13m to purchase Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei, claim Sportitalia, and the player prefers them to Torino.
It is no secret that Casadei’s agents are working on a potential return to Serie A after finding playing time difficult to come by at Stamford Bridge.
Torino have been in negotiations for a while, but Lazio stepped in after their failure to secure Jacopo Fazzini from Empoli at a price they considered to be fair.
Casadei eager for return to Italy
Casadei just turned 22 last week and came up through the Inter youth academy, sold to Chelsea for €14.86m plus up to €5m in various add-ons in 2022.
He had loan experiences at Reading and Leicester City, this season returning to base with six appearances.
Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains that Lazio have made a proposal today to Chelsea worth €13m.
It is also believed that the player prefers the Aquile to the other alternative, Torino, and talks are set to intensify to bring him back to Italy.
