Carson Lambos Joins Team In Washington, Won't Debut
The Minnesota Wild (23-11-4) are on the road to face the Washington Capitals (25-10-2) for the first game of their two-game road trip.
On Wednesday the Wild made a few roster moves. They placed Kirill Kaprizov on the Injured Reserve (IR) and recalled Brendan Gaunce and Carson Lambos from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Lambos, 21, was recalled with Wild captain Jared Spurgeon hurt. Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin is set to speak to the Wild media later today to address Spurgeon's status.
The Wild captain is set to have an MRI today.
Nonetheless, instead of making his NHL debut, Lambos will sit out tonight. Zach Bogosian will take Spurgeon's spot in the top four and Travis Dermott will play his off-side.
