Carolina Hurricanes @ Philadelphia Flyers: Lineups, Game Preview and How to Watch
What - Game 18 (13-4-0)
When - 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20
Where - Wells Fargo Center; Philadelphia, PA
How to Watch - TNT, MAX
The Carolina Hurricanes have gotten rolling once again and are now head to Philadelphia following back-to-back wins at home.
The Canes have a perfect 5-0-0 record against rival Metro teams this season and they'll look to keep their win streak going against the Flyers (8-9-2).
The Hurricanes had a big 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, following a 4-0 win over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
Martin Necas continued his dominance with a four-point performance, extending his point-streak to 13 games and Pyotr Kochetkov looked terrific returning from injury.
Carolina will look to once again lean on both players on this three-game road trip.
The Flyers are coming off of a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, but before that loss, had had points in their last five.
In fact, their last regulation loss before Monday was the last time they played Carolina.
Philadelphia still has a ways to go to become a regular contender, but they're a team that skates hard, checks and plays a style of defense that really mucks up the middle of the ice.
They're not an easy opponent and have given Carolina some fits in recent matchups.
Streaks
Martin Necas (10g, 27pts) is on a 13-game point streak, a career high.
Shayne Gostisbehere (4a) has assists in three-straight games.
Milestone Watch
Sebastian Aho is one game-winning goal shy of breaking Ron Francis' franchise record (57).
Sean Walker is three points shy of 100 career points.
Dmitry Orlov will play in his 100th game as a Carolina Hurricane.
Game Notes
Carolina is 1-0-0 against the Flyers this season, defeating them 6-4 on Nov. 5 at Lenovo Center. Martin Necas scored the go-ahead goal in that game with under a minute to go.
Sebastian Aho (13g, 30pts in 30 games) is a point-per-game player against the Flyers.
Seth Jarvis returned to practice on Tuesday following a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury. It's a good sign, but sources say he will not be available for the Canes three-game road trip.
