Carolina Hurricanes Forward To Get Second Opinion On Injury
Carolina Hurricanes forward Tyson Jost will be getting a second opinion on his undisclosed injury in the coming days according to Canes coach Rod Brind'Amour, but regardless of that, it seems he will be out for the foreseeable future.
"It's definitely more of a week-to-week thing which is unfortunate," Brind'Amour said.
Jost, 26, was injured in the Hurricanes Dec. 31 game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He absorbed a routine hit from Columbus defenseman Jack Johnson in the third period but left the ice in noticeable discomfort.
Tyson Jost was sent back to Raleigh yesterday, per Brind'Amour.
The team is hoping to have an update either later today or tomorrow.

He would not return to the game following that hit and has been out since, with Finnish forward Juha Jaaska making his NHL debut in place of him.
The Carolina broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network also labeled Jost's injury as lower body.
Jost appeared in 16 games this season and had two goals playing on the fourth line.
Jack Drury, who Jost was in the lineup for, will return from injury tonight though.
