The Carolina Hurricanes are once again hitting the road.
This time though, they're taking an eight-game winning streak with them.
The Canes have been electric to start the year, with contributions up and down the lineup.
They went 5-1-0 on a recent six-game road trip and just had a perfect 4-0-0 homestand in which they scored 23 total goals.
Martin Necas and Jack Roslovic have been some of the biggest stories, but so too has Pyotr Kochetkov who's won five straight starts since Frederik Andersen went down with injury.
The Hurricanes are actually coming off two wins that they weren't super thrilled with, a 6-4 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday which featured a bit too many bad turnovers, and a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, a game which they were outshot 36-18.
However, the Canes are finding ways to win in any sort of game and that's what good teams do.
Tonight, they'll be facing the Colorado Avalanche (6-8-0), a team that still has that elite top talent, but also one that is struggling in the face of injuries and bad goaltending.
While the power play has been lethal (36.2%), they are allowing the second most goals against per game in the league (3.93).
The Avs are 1-4-0 in their last five games and are coming off of a 1-0 shutout loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
