Carolina Hurricanes Assign Yaniv Perets To Chicago Wolves

The Carolina Hurricanes announced they have assigned goaltender Yaniv Perets to their AHL affiliate Chicago Wolves.

Perets was recalled on Nov. 15 and served as backup to Spencer Martin in the Hurricanes 4-0 win over the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 16.

The 24-year-old has a 1-2 record with a .825 SV% and 3.67 GAA with the Wolves this season. He spent last season with the ECHL's Norfolk Admirals and had a record of 18-11-3 with a .889 SV% and 2.99 GAA.

With a potentially long-term injury to Frederik Andersen, Perets will likely receive the bulk of the starting duties with the Wolves as he continues to gain professional experience.

Pyotr Kochetkov missed the game against Ottawa due to injury but is expected to start tonight against St. Louis.

Perets is not available for Chicago's game against Rockford today, Dustin Tokarski - recently signed to a PTO - is expected to start for the Wolves.

Perets has 12:46 of NHL game time under his belt when he entered the game in relief in a game against Los Angeles in January 2024, he made the save on the only shot he faced.

The Wolves are 3-7-1 on the season.
