Carlo Ancelotti confirms Real Madrid star will return to starting XI for Celta Vigo clash
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he intends to restore a somewhat forgotten member of his squad to the club’s starting XI tomorrow night.
The player in question? Andriy Lunin.
Real Madrid are currently in the midst of final preparations for a return to action on Thursday.
Fresh off a hugely disappointing defeat at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona in the finale of the Spanish Super Cup last weekend, Los Blancos will look to get swiftly back on track, in a Copa del Rey meeting with Celta Vigo.
Speaking during a press conference this afternoon, boss Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, was asked for his plans for the clash.
Specifically, the Italian was asked if he intends to rotate his squad, amid what has been a busy couple of weeks for the reigning La Liga champions.
And Ancelotti, in his response, went on to confirm that one change has indeed been planned, between the posts:
“Andriy Lunin will play tomorrow.”
