Carlo Ancelotti confirms the Arda Güler news which Real Madrid fans were waiting for
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti on Thursday dropped a hint regarding his plans for youngster Arda Güler over the course of the season ahead.
As much comes after Güler enjoyed his latest impressive outing, on the pre-season stage.
As part of the club’s ongoing preparations for the new campaign, Real Madrid locked horns with AC Milan in the early hours of this morning.
Come the full-time whistle in Chicago, Los Blancos were forced to face up to a 1-0 defeat, owing to a Samuel Chukwueze strike early in the 2nd-half.
But there were nevertheless plenty of positives to take away from the matchup, not least the performances of some of the club’s up-and-coming young talents.
One such player to have shone at Soldier Field comes in the form of the aforementioned Arda Güler, who looked a constant source of creativity and attacking excellence against Milan.
Speaking to the media on the back of the action coming to a close, boss Ancelotti, in turn, was drawn on the 19-year-old’s talents once more.
And, after a somewhat hit-and-miss debut campaign for Güler in Spain’s capital, Real’s headmaster confirmed the news which the club’s supporters have so long been calling for – that the Turk will play a more prominent role over the season ahead:
“Arda Güler has trained very well in the holiday period. He has become more powerful, more resilient and with the same quality. I think it’s going to be an important season for him, with more importance.”
