Washington Capitals Storylines
- Thursday marks what will likely be Marc-Andre Fleury's final game at Capital One Arena. No goaltender has surrendered more goals to Alex Ovechkin (27) than Fleury, and at the same time, no goaltender has played in more games against No. 8 than him (46 regular-season games, 65 total games).
- Speaking of Ovechkin, he's entering his fourth game back from a broken leg that held him out for roughly five weeks. Look for him to continue to get back to his game; he has two goals in three outings since coming back.
- Watch out for Aliaksei Protas, who has four goals in his last five games and continues to be dangerous at both ends of the ice for D.C.
