Canucks Sherwood Sets Obscure Hits Record
Kiefer Sherwood has etched his name into the NHL record books. During the Vancouver Canucks 5-4 overtime loss to the Montréal Canadiens, Sherwood recorded ten hits for the fifth time this season. In doing so, he became the first player in NHL history to record at least ten hits in five games, surpassing Tommy Wingles and Jeremy Lauzon, who held the record at four.

After 39 games, Sherwood is on pace to record 483 hits. For reference, the all-time record is held by his former Nashville Predators teammate Lauzon, who threw 383 last season. If Sherwood can throw 483 hits, he will pass Alex Biega for 14th all-time in franchise history. At the moment, he currently sits 37th on the franchise's all-time list and has already passed current Canucks players such as Nils Höglander, Conor Garland and Filip Hronek.
