Canucks Prospects Qualifies For The 2025 Champions Hockey League Finals
Vancouver Canucks prospect Lucas Forsell is off to the 2025 Champions Hockey League final. Forsell is currently playing with Färjestad BK, who defeated Sparta Prague for a spot in the Final. As of their next opponent, that will be the Zürcher Schlittschuh Club Lions, with the Championship being held on February 18, 2025.

Forsell has played all 12 of Färjestad BK Champions Hockey League games this season. Over those 12 games, he has scored two goals and recorded five points while averaging 12:58 per game. He has also blocked 11 shots and recorded 15 shots on goal.

Initially drafted in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Draft, Forsell has played with Färjestad BK for the majority of his hockey career. The 21-year-old right-winger has 34 points in 143 career SHL games to go along with his 11 points in 28 career Champions Hockey League games. Listed at 6'0", 161 lbs, Forsell is currently on the Canucks reserve list and must sign by June 1, 2025, if Vancouver wants to hold onto his rights.
