Canucks Prospects At The 2025 World Juniors Update: December 21
Tom Willander was the only Vancouver Canucks prospect in action on Saturday as Team Sweden fell 4-2 to Team Canada in pre-tournament action. While Sawyer Mynio is on Team Canada, he was a scratch for this game. Willander spent the game partnered with St. Louis Blues prospect Theo Lindstein as part of Sweden's second pairing.

While Willander did not record a point, he did have an impact on this game. The Canucks 2023 first-rounder finished with multiple shots on goal and featured on Sweden's first power play unit. He also saw time on the second shorthanded unit, helping Sweden go three for three on the penalty kill.

Willander, Mynio and Basile Sansonnens will all be in action on Monday as Sweden, Canada, and Switzerland wrap up their pre-tournament schedule. Sweden will take on Germany at noon PT, Canada will take on Czechia at 4:00 pm PT, while Switzerland takes on Latvia also at 4:00 pm PT. The tournament starts on December 26, with all games available on TSN.
