Canucks Limit Bruins, Habs Race Utah Hockey Club to Over in Tuesday Best Bets

Tuesday provides a very limited, condensed slate of NHL action with just two games that still give us plenty of opportunities to hit it big.

We are coming off a decent Monday night where we correctly predicted a Sharks win that most of the public was riding against and we hit the over on Tampa Bay's blowout win over Colorado. We look to build on the wins Tuesday and hopefully piece together a winning streak.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Canucks Bruins Under 5.5 goals (-105)

There are few teams in all of North American sports that are worse against the spread than the Boston Bruins this season. The Beantown hockey club is an astonishing 5-17 against the puck line with nine straight losses heading into Tuesday.

They are long overdue for a win but will it come at the expense of the Canucks, who have been lethal on the road this season with a 7-1-0 record.

It'll be quite the challenge but the Bruins have won two straight since moving to new bench boss Joe Sacco. This game should be a battle as the Canucks have lost three of their last five games and will look to get back on track on the road while the Bruins will be feeling themselves after getting their mojo back with a new coach.

People may expect a high-scoring game because of this but I expect the opposite as the Bruins have produce back-to-back defensive showcases over their two wins with just one goal allowed.

The Canucks are also a defensive-minded team with the league's best road goals against average at 2.13 and should continue this trend on Tuesday.

Bet: Canadiens ML (+115), Utah HC Canadiens Over 6.0 goals (-115), Nick Suzuki anytime goal (+175)

Since October 29th, the Habs are the worst team in the NHL with a 3-7-1 record, emphasized by a 4.00 goals against average. The Utah Hockey Club has have been the second-worst team over their last nine games with a 3-6-0 record.

Both teams are really struggling right now and their matchup should give one of them a chance to get the ball rolling in the right direction.

In their last six matchups in Montreal, each team won three games a piece but the Habs did win the most previous meeting 6-4 earlier this year. A trend through out these matchups is a lot of goals with six or more goals in four of the six matchups.

I think we should expect a high-scoring affair with Montreal finding their way back into the win column as they've won two of their last three games and are coming off a bad 6-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, where they will motivated.

The Habs will also be rested at home while Utah has been on the road for three straight games and could show signs of fatigue while also being feisty enough in this game to push the game to the over.

Montreal captain Nick Suzuki leads the team in points at home since last season with 19 goals and 31 assists for 50 points in 52 games. He should help lift the Habs offence in a big way and score in his second straight game against the former Arizona Coyotes.
