Canucks Gameday Preview #27: Looking For A Full 60 Against The Blues
The Vancouver Canucks (14-8-4) play game three of their six-game homestand on Tuesday when they take on the St. Louis Blues (13-13-2). The Blues are one of the hotter teams in the NHL, having won four of their last six games. As for the Canucks, they are looking for more consistency at home and hoping to improve their record at Rogers Arena to 5-6-3 by the end of the night.

For Vancouver, the biggest focus has to be playing a full 60-minute game. Whether it's poor starts or problematic stretches in periods, the Canucks have often found themselves pinned in their own zone, which has cost them multiple times this season. While the Blues are going to generate offensive chances, Vancouver needs to start the game strong and ensure St. Louis doesn't dictate the play for the majority of the game.
Players to Watch:
Brock Boeser:
While Brock Boeser has been playing well, he has had trouble scoring over the last few weeks. He has just one goal in his previous eight games, with his only tallie coming on Friday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. If Boeser can find his scoring touch and light the lamp Tuesday, it will go a long way in helping the Canucks pick up the win at home.
Robert Thomas:
Few players have been as productive as Robert Thomas since the middle of November. He has 12 points in his last ten games, which includes five in his previous three. A pain to play against, the Canucks will need to keep a close eye on Thomas all night.
Vancouver Canucks Projected Lineup:
DeBrusk-Pettersson-Boeser
Joshua-Suter-Garland
Höglander-Blueger-Boeser
Räty-Sasson-Heinen
Hughes-Juulsen
Soucy-Myers
Brännström-Desharnais
