Canucks Defenceman Named To Sabres Quarter-Century Second Team
This season, the NHL is looking back at some of the greatest players from the past 25 years. In doing so, they have created Quarter-Century Teams for each franchise, which were selected broadcasters, national, local and NHL.com writers who have covered the respective teams, in addition to select former players. On Wednesday, the NHL announced the Buffalo Sabres Quarter-Century Teams, which featured a current member of the Vancouver Canucks.

Myers was named to the Sabres second team, which also featured former Canucks forward Derek Roy. Traded to Vancouver in 2012, Roy played 12 games for the Canucks, recording three goals and six points. Roy also played four games for Vancouver during the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs but failed to register a point.
As for Buffalo's first team, it also featured some former Canucks. Ryan Miller spent three years in Vancouver, while Thomas Vanek spent 61 games with the Canucks during the 2017-18 season. Miller recently had his number retired by the Sabres organization and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022.
