Canadiens: Montembeault New Mask Spotlights Honored Goaltenders
Montreal Canadiens' Samuel Montembeault has a new mask for this season, and it spotlights the goaltenders the franchise has honored over the years. There's only so much you can do with the Habs' logo on a mask, really. It doesn't tie in with an animal, a meteorologic phenomenon, or anything else like that, but the team's history offers plenty of options.

This year, the netminder elected to go old school and put the rafters on his mask with the jersey retirement banners of Patrick Roy, Ken Dryden, and Jacques Plante. On the side, he's also put the front of the old Forum, where the ghosts were so active.
