Canadian Wigginton produces Dunk of the Year candidate
College basketball fans know that Iowa State’s Lindell Wigginton can score. There’s no secret there.
He only needed two points in Friday night’s game to become the first Cyclone rookie, and just the eighth freshman in Big 12 history to score 300 points during the conference season.
Early in the first half of Iowa’s final regular season game, the Nova Scotia native got those two points in style – crowning Oklahoma with an insane Dunk of the Year candidate.
With a quick crossover at the top of the arc, he split the defenders and took flight from the mid-key for a crazy slam.
