With Sunday's 4-0 win over Jamaica, Canada has qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1986.

Canada had a chance to punch its ticket to Qatar this past Thursday, but fell 1-0 to Costa Rica. Thankfully, that loss didn't prove costly. As you can imagine, many Canadians coast-to-coast were overjoyed as the men's national team ended its extended drought.

The 2022 World Cup is set to take place in Qatar from Nov. 21-Dec. 17. Back in 1986, which was the only other year Canada qualified, the nation suffered losses in all three of its matches. If the qualifiers are any indication, there's a strong chance this year's squad improves upon that result.
