What Would Canada And USA's Women's World Junior Rosters Look Like?

Canada and USA sent their national development teams to Finland this month to compete in the Women's Euro Hockey Tour with USA coming out victorious at the event. The rosters however, were not made with an age limit attached , only the limitation that all players from Canada and USA must currently be playing college hockey.

The IIHF has continued to discuss a World Junior Championship for women's hockey, which remains the lone and largest gap for women's hockey players. While men have had a U-18, U-20, and senior World Championship for decades, women's hockey goes from U-18 to the senior national event, meaning many women disappear from national competition for several years in between. The IIHF has discussed a U-22 tournament for women instead of a U-20 event.

With the 2024-25 IIHF men's World Junior tournament kicking off, here's a look at what Canada and USA's U-20 women's rosters, meaning players born in 2005 or later, could look like for a World Junior Championship.
