Camavinga 4, Bellingham 4.5 – Real Madrid 2-5 Barcelona: Player Ratings
Barcelona beat Real Madrid to clinch a 15th Spanish Super Cup title in Jeddah on Sunday night.
The victory was Barça’s 2nd in a row against Los Blancos, starting a period of domination.
Real Madrid performed poorly on the night, and here are the player ratings from the game.
Courtois: 6
Not the best of days for the Belgian. He started the night by conceding a goal from Lamine Yamal which many believe he could have done better.
Lucas Vazquez: 4
One more reason for Real Madrid to sign a right-back thus Janaury. The Spaniard once again had a hard time defending against Raphinha and the runs of Balde.
Tchouaméni: 5
Aurelien once again struggled at center-back against Barça. Little mistakes he made on the night cost Ancelotti’s men in the first half.
Rüdiger: 4.5
As a leader in defense, the entire backline struggled against Barça’s attack. The highlight of the night was the appalling defensive line during the counterattacks.
Mendy: 4.5
Not an overly bad game, but his usual defensive solidity was not evident against Barcelona. Lamine Yamal got the better of him in some instances.
Bellingham: 4.5
A quiet night for the English wonderkid. His recent good performances for Real Madrid did not reflect tonight.
Valverde: 5.5
Once again the spark for Los Blancos in midfield. On several occasions, he had to even put in defensive shifts to save his side.
Camavinga: 4
His highlight of the night unfortunately was giving a penalty away. Not a night to remember for the French player.
Rodrygo: 5
Scored a brilliant freekick and made some decent penetrations, but his cutting edge was lacking.
Mbappé: 6
Folliwing his goal in the 5th minute, Kylian did not offer so much in the game. He still struggles adapting as a number 9.
Vinicius Junior: 5.5
Coming off with about 20 minutes to play said it all. An indeed abysmal performance from the star man.
