Camarda in first-team squad but important quartet prepares for Milan Futuro clash
Francesco Camarda has been called up for AC Milan’s clash against Monza this evening. However, as a report highlights, an important quartet will be with the Futuro for their game against Pontedera.
Camarda has been working with the first team in the last few weeks as a result of Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic’s injuries. He came off the bench against Club Brugge as well as Napoli, and it remains to be seen if that will happen against Monza as well.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), while the striker has been called up, the likes of Alex Jimenez, Davide Bartesaghi, Kevin Zeroli and Mattia Liberali will be with the Futuro instead. They will take on Pontedera tomorrow and could use the three points, so it certainly makes sense.
Given the options on the bench, Camarda is the only player who realistically could be subbed on for the first team anyway. Alvaro Morata tends to work very hard from the get-go and doesn’t have 90 minutes in his legs, while the players in other positions have first-team replacements.
The game is scheduled for 20:45 CET tonight and three points are a must, or else the Scudetto race will certainly be long gone.
