Calgary Wranglers' Devin Cooley Named AHL Player Of The Week
Calgary Wranglers goaltender Devin Cooley has been named the AHL Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.
In four appearances for the Wranglers this past week, Cooley posted a 2-1-0 record to go along with a 0.64 GAA, a .976 SV% and two shutouts. He saw 83 shots and only let in two goals.
Through eleven appearances in 2024-25, Cooley has put together a 8-2-0 record, a 1.46 GAA and a .954 SV% along with three shutouts.
A product of Los Gatos, Calif., Cooley joined the Flames organization this past summer after splitting time last season between the Rochester Americans and the San Jose Sharks. In six career NHL appearances, he has a 2-3-1 record, a 4.98 GAA and a .870 SV%.
With the Wranglers currently sitting in first place in the Pacific Division, Cooley has been a major reason for the team's success. Although the Flames currently have Dan Vladar and Dustin Wolf, if Cooley continues to play this well, it's hard not to see them giving him a shot sooner than later.
