Calgary Flames Assign Rory Kerins To AHL
The Calgary Flames have assigned forward Rory Kerins to the Calgary Wranglers, it was announced Sunday.
Kerins, a product of Caledon, Ont., has split time between the NHL and AHL this season, putting up four assists in four games with the Flames and 34 points in 34 games with the Wranglers.
Drafted by the Flames in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Kerins turned pro in 2022-23 and has quickly risen up the ranks. While he split time in the ECHL and AHL in his rookie season, he stuck with the Wranglers last year and has established himself as an NHL option this year.
As Kerins gets assigned to the Wranglers, he will get the opportunity to play in all situations. Being someone who can create plays for himself and others, Kerins should get a long look as a full-time NHL option in the near future.
