The quarterback scrambled for a yard on third down but had his ankle caught underneath on the tackle. However, ESPN's Laura Rutledge reported that the issue is related to Stroud's left knee. He is one of the only Texans to avoid the injury bug this season, starting all 17 games.

The quarterback limped off the field after the Texans' opening drive with a knee injury. It initially appeared to be an ankle issue after his leg was briefly trapped on the scramble, but ESPN reported on the broadcast that the medical staff was checking out his left knee on the sidelines.
