“The Butterfly Effect”: a special episode of “Team Jay” presented at Lucca Comics & Games 2024!

What is our Jay doing in the vibrant atmosphere of Lucca Comics & Games, the biggest festival dedicated to comics, games, video games and entertainment?

What are Kenan Yildiz and a Junior Member doing in a cartoon?

They are there to tell us so much, to take us into the world of the imagination, where sport, friendship and values are key, and they do it through something never seen before: a young fan and a Juventus champion starring in the “Team Jay” stories. Further evidence of the club’s continuous innovation, bringing one of the fans directly into the cartoon, realising his dream of appearing alongside a champion and helping Team Jay in their latest adventure.

It takes place in a special episode entitled ‘The Butterfly Effect’, a story full of challenges and collaboration previewed at Lucca Comics & Games 2024 at a stand offering an immersive experience for fans of all ages.

SPECIAL EPISODE

In the episode, Team Jay faces a complicated situation that threatens to jeopardise their solidarity and ambitions. But this time, the team receives unexpected help from two exceptional guest stars: Gioele, a Junior Member fan and, as special guest, none other than Kenan Yildiz, Juventus’ talented number 10, who appears for the first time with one of his icons in Bianconeri fans’ favourite cartoon.

The title, ‘The Butterfly Effect,’ is a clear reference to the theory that small changes can lead to big transformations: a theme that the cartoon uses to inspire young viewers, reminding them that in order to make big changes, you have to start by working together (in this case, to stop football from being stolen from children's dreams).

THE PRESENTATION

On Saturday 2 November, the Teatro Centrale in Lucca hosted the official premiere of the episode, presented by Daniele Lunazzi, Head of Product Marketing at Juventus. Accompanied by two special guests, Jay and influencer Iris Di Domenico, Lunazzi introduced the background behind the episode's creation and Juventus' commitment to using animated content to engage young fans.

AUGMENTED AND... REAL REALITY!

In addition to the screening, those who visited the Juventus stand in the Kids Area at Lucca Comics had the opportunity to interact with Jay through an augmented reality experience. On Friday 1 November, Jay “came to life” virtually, allowing children to play and take photos with Jay. This experience created additional magic and fun, making the day even more special for the young fans present.

Virtual and... real: Jay was physically present in Lucca, perhaps not in the flesh but certainly in black and white, and he brightened up the streets of the city with his irresistible charm!
