A frustrated Burakovsky spoke to the media after the game, laying bare what went wrong for the Kraken. Simply put, the Devils were the better team, outshooting Seattle 36-19. New Jersey celebrated two milestones: Jesper Bratt tied the game at 2-2 in his 500th appearance, and Timo Meier scored the game-winning goal, marking his 200th NHL goal.
Seattle wraps up its four-game road trip tomorrow with a Sunday matinee against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The Kraken are 2-1, with wins over the Hurricanes (4-2) and Islanders (5-2), and a narrow 3-2 loss to the Devils.
