Bundesliga club circle City’s hat trick hero but they must keep him

It was an impressive performance from McAtee, especially in the second half. Now it has been reported that a host of Bundesliga clubs have an interest in signing him this month. Despite this, Manchester City must keep McAtee and give him the second half of the season to prove himself.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported via X that several Bundesliga clubs have an interest in signing James McAtee this month. Romano names Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Mainz and Stuttgart as the clubs interested in signing McAtee. Furthermore, Romano adds that the Bundesliga is appearing to be the the most likely destination for the young midfielder this month. But he further reports that the decision will lie in the hands of McAtee and Manchester City.

It isn’t a surprise to see a host of clubs interested in signing James McAtee this month. His hat trick on Saturday was further proof of his talent. When given the opportunity McAtee has shown just how good a player he is and could potentially be. It’s for this reason that Manchester City should keep McAtee for the remainder of the season.

There is a rebuild coming to the Manchester City squad. James McAtee deserves the opportunity to show that he can be a part of that. He has waited patiently all season for an opportunity to stake his claim. Against Leicester City and Salford City he showed what he can add to Pep Guardiola’s squad. Now he needs consistent opportunities to show if he will be a part of City’s rebuild. He’s earned that and should be given that chance.

It remains to be seen if James McAtee will leave Manchester City this month. But with a host of clubs interested in signing him his future is now a hot topic. Manchester City should keep James McAtee for the remainder of the season as if he gets the opportunity he may well show that he will be a part of Manchester City’s rebuild.
