Buffalo Bills' Mack Hollins Dresses Up as Fred Flintstone and Goes Barefoot in Freezing Cold Ahead of Broncos Matchup

Mack Hollins had a “yabba-dabba-doo time” at the Buffalo Bills' latest game.

On Sunday, Jan. 12, the wide receiver, 31, arrived at Highmark Stadium in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, N.Y., for the Bills' matchup against the Denver Broncos. For the occasion, he dressed up as the stone-age cartoon character Fred Flintstone.

Much like the iconic caveman from Hanna-Barbera's The Flintstones, Hollins went barefoot and sported a blue necktie and a short-sleeve, leopard-print loincloth with a jagged hemline. He completed the outfit with a Buffalo Bills-branded furry horned hat.

This isn’t the first time Hollins has turned heads with an eye-catching game-day look. On Dec. 1, he showed up for a game against the San Francisco 49ers wearing an all-white mad scientist costume.

Hollins went barefoot for that game, too, which sent chills down the spines of Sunday Night Football viewers due to the fact that it was a snowy and frigid 31-degree day.

After this particular game-day look went viral online, Hollins' fans expressed concern that he might catch frostbite. But the choice to go without footwear is nothing new for the NFL star.

During a Feb. 2023 interview with NBC Sports, Hollins said he's "been shoeless" for roughly four to five years, revealing that he's even been "kicked out of places" that require shoes.

Hollins also told the outlet that he thinks "everyone should be barefoot" and that he washes his feet "all the time," for anyone concerned about his hygiene.

"It's so funny that people look at me like that because shoes are definitely dirtier than feet," Hollins added.

Hollins also addressed his unique personality in a June 2024 profile by Spectrum News 1, saying, "Going with no shoes, having wild hair, eating with my hands instead of utensils, that type of stuff, that’s not bothering anybody. That’s who I am.”

"That’s what makes me happy. Do the things that make you happy in life,” he added. “Like I said, life’s too short to be worried about what other people think."

As for Hollins’ Fred Flintstone getup, he is in good company. Former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce sported a similar orange-spotted caveman outfit when he mingled with Bills Mafia members for a tailgate before the team's game against the New York Jets on Oct. 14 last year.
