Bryan Zaragoza hits back at ex-Bayern Munich boss Tuchel: ‘Football is played with feet’

Osasuna star Bryan Zaragoza has this week moved to reveal his frustration with the treatment afforded to him by Thomas Tuchel whilst at Bayern Munich last season.

Wide-man Zaragoza of course spent the 2nd half of the 2023/24 campaign plying his trade in Munich, after making the move to Germany from Granada.

Despite arriving amid high expectations, however, the 23-year-old went on to endure an altogether tough time of things in the Bundesliga.

All told, Zaragoza was afforded just seven appearances, for a grand total of 180 minutes on the pitch.

The talented attacker was therefore granted a swift summer exit, returning to La Liga as part of a season-long loan with Osasuna.

Fresh off notching his first goal for Spain on Monday night, Zaragoza was therefore drawn on his struggles in Germany once more.

And, during an exchange with Bild’s Nico Linner, the Málaga native made use of the opportunity to respond to ex-Bayern headmaster Thomas Tuchel’s stance on non-German or English speakers:

“Football is played with the feet and not with the language. That’s my point of view!”
