Bryan Linssen returns to the Eredivisie with NEC Nijmegen
NEC Nijmegen announced the signing of Bryan Linssen from J-League outfit Urawa Red Diamonds yesterday. The experienced winger last played in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord between 2020 and 2022, and helped Arne Slot’s side reach the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League final.
The 34-year-old also boasts of experience with VVV-Venlo, Heracles Almelo, Groningen, and Vitesse – with more than a hundred goals in over four hundred matches in Dutch professional football.
Linssen signed a one-and-a-half-year deal until the summer of 2026, with technical director Carlos Aalbers delighted about the acquisition:
“Bryan knows the ropes and the Eredivisie inside out. With this he can help our team to quickly get back on track for the second half of the season.”
NEC Nijmegen are currently 12th in the league standings with 17 points. Their next game as the season restarts this coming Saturday sees them travel to face PEC Zwolle who sit a place below in 13th.
