Brush fire closes East Pierce County roads. ‘A large emergency response’ remains

A large brush fire closed roads near Graham on Monday afternoon, according to Graham Fire & Rescue.

The agency posted about 2:15 p.m. that there was a fire in the 27000 block of 110th Avenue East. Authorities closed 110th Avenue East between 264th Street East and 280th Street East at that time.

“Please avoid the area as crews work to contain the fire,” the post said.

Soon after the agency posted an update that crews closed 280th Street East at Meridian Avenue East.

Then the agency posted at 3:40 p.m:. “The fire is under control. Please continue to use caution as a large emergency response presence remains in the area.”
