The Bruins and Capitals were tied 1-1 following the second period. However, Marchand put the team on his back during the third period, as he recorded all three of his points during it.
Marchand first picked up the primary assist on Elias Lindholm's eventual game-winning goal. His assist was a beauty, too, as he sent Lindholm a perfect pass on the two-on-one before the center beat Charlie Lindgren with a nifty move.
Marchand picked up his second assist on Charlie Coyle's goal. After Marchand hit the post, Coyle scooped up his rebound and quickly fired it home.
Marchand ended his excellent night by scoring the Bruins' empty-netter that gave them a 4-1 lead.
With this spectacular performance, Marchand has extended his point streak to 10 games. Over that span, he has an impressive 13 points. He also now has 15 goals and 30 points in 36 games this season.
