"I don't think [I'll play] tomorrow," Lindholm said. "I'll take it day by day here. It has been a long time since I've played, so I want to make sure when I get out there, I can really make a difference."

While Lindholm wants to get back on the ice, he also stressed the importance of not rushing back into game action too early.

"As frustrating it is being sidelined, it's just the way it is. It's easy to also rush things, but coming back and not playing at the standard I hold myself is not going to be worth it."

Lindholm also said he will be taking things day by day when asked if he will be good to go for the Bruins' Feb. 1 matchup against the New York Rangers.

It is understandable that Lindholm wants to be 100% healthy before getting back into game action. His injury has sidelined him since the middle of November, so it would be brutal if he suffered a setback of any kind.

In 17 games this season, Lindholm has three goals and seven points.
