Bruins Star Takes Massive Step With Injury Recovery

Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm took a big step forward in his recovery on Wednesday. The left-shot blueliner participated at team practice in a non-contact jersey for the first time since suffering his lower-body injury back on Nov. 12 against the St. Louis Blues.

Bruins head coach Joe Sacco told reporters yesterday that Lindholm has been making good progress with his injury and that the next step would be for him to return to practice in some capacity. Now, he has done just that.

Lindholm is one of the Bruins' top defensemen, so it is excellent that he was able to practice with his teammates today. He still has more work to do before he can get back into game action, but this is undoubtedly a significant step in the right direction.

Lindholm, 30, has appeared in 17 games this season with the Bruins, where he has three goals and seven points.

In addition to Lindholm being at practice, Mark Kastelic also participated in a non-contact jersey. Charlie McAvoy, who is also on injured reserve, skated as well.
