Bruins Send Big Winger Down To AHL

The Boston Bruins have announced that forward Max Jones has been assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

Jones, 26, was recalled to the Bruins' roster on Jan. 21 due to the team's injury issues on offense. However, after being with the NHL squad for a little over a week, the 2016 first-round pick is heading back to Providence.

Jones has appeared in seven games this season with Boston, posting zero points, 14 hits, and a minus-4 rating. In 26 games with Providence, the 6-foot-3 winger has eight goals and 11 points.
