Now, the Bruins have announced Wahlstrom's new number with the Bruins, and it is certainly an interesting one.
After wearing No. 26 during his six-year stint with the Islanders, Wahlstrom will rock No. 71 with Boston.

The last Bruins player to wear No. 71 was star forward Taylor Hall, who has been the subject of trade rumors this season. The only other Bruins who wore No. 71 in Bruins history are Terry Virtue (1999), Jiri Slegr (2004-2006), and Marc Savard (2007 before switching to No. 91).
