Yahoo Sports Bruins President Considering 'Two Paths' For Trade Deadline
After a big off-season of spending, the Boston Bruins have a 22-19-5 record and are in the middle of a tight battle for a wild-card spot. The Original Six club has struggled with consistency this season, and Bruins president Cam Neely shared that this could impact the Bruins' trade deadline plans.

"We'll see where we're at," Neely said. "I think right now, we've got to look at two paths. One that we're buying and one that we may be retooling a little bit."
Neely also added:
"We still feel like we've got a got a playoff team here, and we certainly don't want to jeopardize getting out of the playoffs because we made some moves that may be good for the future, but not good for the present."

It is understandable that Neely is considering two paths for this year's deadline. For the first time in many years, the Bruins are not a guaranteed playoff team. This is especially so when noting that they have played multiple more games than the wild-card teams right behind them in the standings.
If the Bruins elect to be sellers, they have a handful of pending unrestricted free agents, like Trent Frederic, Justin Brazeau, Cole Koepke, and Parker Wotherspoon who would need to be watched.
