Bruins Have Perfect Trade Target In Canucks Superstar
Earlier this week, Responsible Gambler's Marco D'Amico reported from a source that the Boston Bruins are among the teams talking with the Vancouver Canucks about superstar centers Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller.

When looking at the Bruins' roster, it is easy to understand why they would be interested in both Pettersson and Miller. They need a game-changing center, and both players are legitimate stars.
However, when looking at both Canucks stars, Miller may be the perfect player for the Original Six club to bring in.
There's no question that Pettersson would be massive for the Bruins to acquire. This is because he is a 26-year-old star right in his prime and locked up until the end of the 2031-32 season. However, Pettersson's $11.6 million cap hit would be immensely challenging for the Bruins to fit in.
Miller isn't necessarily cheap, but his $8 million cap hit until the end of the 2029-30 season makes him a more realistic target for the Bruins than Pettersson. However, in a potential swap, the Bruins would still need to part ways with some of their more expensive roster players to make it work financially.
If the Bruins acquired Miller, he would give them a long-term answer for the 1C role and could make real magic with superstar David Pastrnak. In addition, he would be an obvious fit for their struggling power play, as he is a dominant offensive player. In 31 games this season, he has eight goals and 29 points. This is after he had 37 goals and 103 points in 81 games last season.
Miller, 31, also plays like an old-fashioned Bruin. This is because he is not only incredibly skilled, but he also plays a very heavy game. This is apparent by his 72 hits in just 31 games this season. In addition, he recorded at least 200 hits in each of his last two seasons.
It is crucial to note that Miller has control over whether he will be traded to Boston or any other club, as he has a full no-movement clause. However, if he is willing to waive it to come to Boston, the Bruins should make a serious push for the star.
