Bruins' Jeremy Swayman Gets Big Compliment

Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman once again had an excellent season in 2023-24. In 44 appearances on the campaign, the Anchorage, Alaska native sported a 25-10-6 record, a .916 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.53 goals-against average (GAA). He then followed that up with an outstanding postseason, recording a .933 SV% and 2.15 GAA in 12 appearances. With this play, he officially stole the Bruins' crease.

With Swayman coming off another marvelous season, he has now received some big-time praise. The NHL Network released their latest top 10 goalies list, and Swayman secured the No. 4 spot.

The only goalies ahead of Swayman on the NHL Network's list are Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers), Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg Jets), and Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay Lightning). Swayman also beat out big-name netminders Ilya Sorokin (New York Islanders), Thatcher Demko (Vancouver Canucks), Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida Panthers), Jake Oettinger (Dallas Stars), Juuse Saros (Nashville Predators), and former tandem partner Linus Ullmark (Ottawa Senators).

While Swayman was not named the top goalie on the NHL Network's goalie list, it is still great to see him being viewed ahead of several of his fellow top goalies in the sport. Now, it will be interesting to see what kind of season he can put together for the B's in 2024-25 in response. He needs his new contract first, of course.
