Bruins Make Intriguing Changes To Defense

The Boston Bruins will play the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at Amalie Arena. After losing five straight games, the Bruins will aim to finally get back in the win column against a tough Lightning club. This game is significant for the Bruins to win, as a loss in regulation would cause them to fall below the Lightning in the Atlantic Division standings.

With the Bruins playing tonight, they had morning skate earlier. Bruins head coach Joe Sacco switched things up on the blueline for it.

Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov was moved up to the first pairing with Charlie McAvoy. This was after he spent the last game and the club's previous practice on the second pairing with Brandon Carlo.

With Zadorov being moved to the first pairing, Parker Wotherspoon was Carlo's new partner on the second pairing.

After their ugly 4-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers last game, it is understandable that Sacco is switching up their blueline. We will need to wait and see if these changes help the Bruins beat the Lightning from here.
