Bruins Are Heading In Wrong Direction Big Time
The Boston Bruins fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs by a 6-4 final score last night. With this, the Bruins have lost three straight games and four out of their last five.

The Bruins' struggles are reappearing at a very bad time for the Original Six club. While the Tampa Bay Lightning have lost three straight, they only trail the Bruins by two points and have five games in hand.
Unfortunately, the Lightning are not the only team with the potential to leapfrog the Bruins soon. After a tough start to the season, the Ottawa Senators have turned things around and have a 19-17-2 record. With this, they are behind the Bruins by only four points and have three games in hand.
The Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens are not necessarily too far behind from the Bruins either. After winning seven out of their last 10 games, Montreal is five points behind the Bruins and has played two fewer games. As for the Red Wings, they are riding a four-game winning streak and trail the Bruins by six points with two games in hand.
If the Bruins are unable to turn things back around soon and continue to lose, we could very well start to see them drop in the Atlantic Division standings. We will need to wait and see if they can have a bounce-back game against the New York Islanders tonight.
