This contest was undoubtedly a chippy one between the two Eastern Conference teams. Bruins forward Mark Kastelic fought Blue Jackets enforcer Mathieu Olivier after Boston's first goal of the night. However, that was not the only scrap of the contest.

During the third period, Bruins star Charlie McAvoy received a massive hit from Olivier. From there, Nikita Zadorov immediately approached Olivier, and the two had a heavyweight bout.

Zadorov and Olivier are known for their toughness, and both players threw some hard punches in the fight. Neither player landed the takedown before the refs separated them.

One of the main reasons Zadorov was brought in this off-season was to prevent teams from pushing around the Bruins. Thus, it was certainly good to see the 6-foot-6 defender stand up for McAvoy against a tough customer like Olivier.
